Frédéric Mazzella

Frédéric Mazzella is the Founder & President of BlaBlaCar and the Co-President Entrepreneur of France Digitale, the largest startup association in Europe. With a dense academic path through ENS Ulm where he studied Physics, Stanford University (Computer Science) INSEAD (Business and Entrepreneurship) and the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris (Piano), Fred coded the first version of BlaBlaCar in 2004. The strong domestic growth of BlaBlaCar was quickly followed by international growth, and the company became the first French unicorn in 2015.

For a decade Fred has worked on building trust between millions of people through a global platform and has formalised his findings in a trust framework for the collaborative economy called D.R.E.A.M.S. which BlaBlaCar has deployed to reach a community of 100 million members in 22 countries. Through France Digitale Fred focuses his efforts on attracting top talents to the European Tech ecosystem and on impact projects (Social and Environmental).
